Butter Yellow Buffet

My client found this buffet on Craigslist and asked me to paint it. After discussing color ideas we decided on a soft yellow with very light distressing. We decided to keep the top natural to tie in with her other wood furniture and use black iron hardware to tie everything together.

Here is a quick before shot.

If you know me, or if you have read my blog, you know the chance of me knowing the exact name of this color is pretty slim! The color is a custom mix I made and it came out perfectly, don't you think?

I got lucky and found these sample paints for .50 cents a piece at Lowe's. They had tons of great and vibrant colors.
Lowe's is moving in the Summer paint sample and getting rid of the Spring samples.

I mixed Dreamy Caramel with Cream Delight to get this custom color which I call Butter Yellow.
I used my homemade chalk paint (1c. paint to 1/4 c. baking soda) recipe with this piece.
I love it!!

I love the color and all of the storage inside the buffet. My client is going to use the buffet to replace a sofa table she is using right now. She wanted something that would hide bags, toys, and any other clutter that lands by the front door. This yellow buffet will be perfect!
